Ordering repeat prescriptions
The easiest ways to order repeat prescriptions are:
These accounts show you all your repeat medicines and dosages, and you can choose the ones you need.
You can also:
- Fill out a repeat prescription request form. Bring the paper form to the surgery, Monday to Friday from 8am to 6:30pm.
- Fill out the repeat prescription form online.
We do not take repeat prescription requests over the phone.
Collecting your prescription
You can usually collect your prescription from the pharmacy 3 to 5 working days after ordering it. You will need to choose a pharmacy to collect your prescription from. We call this nominating a pharmacy.
You can change your nominated pharmacy at any time:
- Via the NHS website
- on the app or website where you order repeat prescriptions
- at your GP practice
- at any pharmacy that accepts repeat prescriptions
Questions about your prescription
If you have questions about your medicine, your local pharmacists can answer them. They can also answer questions on medicines you can buy without a prescription.
The NHS website has info on your medicine. It covers how it works, when to take it, side effects, and answers to common questions.
To discuss your prescription with the GP surgery, please call 01732 838777 and select the relevant option.
Medication Reviews
If you have a repeat prescription, we may ask you to come in for a regular review. We will be in touch when you need to come in for a review.

Leigh and Weald Patients
In Leigh, you can post request forms. We then take requests to Hildenborough to dispense them - please allow at least three days.
For Weald, you can leave forms at the Weald Community Pop-Up Shop. It is open only on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 10am to 11am. We will collect them the following week (Tuesday and Thursday), but this is subject to change.
If a fee is payable, please leave the correct money. Use cash or a cheque payable to Hildenborough Medical Group. If you are exempt from prescription charges, please provide proof when requesting the repeat prescription.
Information on prescriptions issued after a private consultation
How a prescription issued after a private consultation is different to an NHS prescription and how you can receive your medicine.
About EPS
The Electronic Prescription Service (EPS) sends electronic prescriptions from GP surgeries to pharmacies.
Electronic Repeat Dispensing
What is an ERD?
You or a loved one may enjoy electronic repeat dispensing. It is for those who use the same medicines often. You will not have to re-order your repeat prescriptions from your GP each time you need more medicine.
You collect your regular medication from your usual pharmacy each month. You do not have to order it.
